We ate at a great restaurant for breakfast or dinner. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and a mini bar, central heating and TV were a bonus.

Needs update.1970's decor with cracked tiles in the bathroom and a shower that barely works means we will definetly never be back.

Newly renovated hotel with free wi-fi. Stunning spot next to the area wineries, art galleries, bistros, and the beauty of nature and the lake, the national park, and Bloomfield and Picton. Also, very close to Sandbanks beach. Big bed, large bathroom and central heating, multi-channel television and a mini bar fridge in the room. The staff - WONDERFULLY FRIENDLY and knowledgeable. Breakfast with fast wi-fi and French toast, for instance.

Room had a fireplace
Room was very old and worn. Bathroom was disgustingly old with cracks and mold in shower tiles and chipped poceline in the sink that someone did a poor job of attempting to repair. It seemed all the buildings exteriors were in need of some kind of repair, whether it was painting or new roofs or wood needing replaced on outside stairs. It appears that the owners do not put any of their earnings back into the resort. If I had paid full price I would have demanded my money back. Also at this time of year there is nothing open in the imediate area so you have to drive 20 kms back to Picton to get anything you forgot to bring.

Lovely location--imagine it would be really great in warm summer months.
Feel the price was a tad high, considering it's rather "off season" in late September. As a beach resort, it appears to offer much, but in late Sept, not so much, and the price doesn't really reflect that. Also, the Inn, the section we stayed in, while roomy and comfortable, was a bit "tired" in the decor, and again, feel the price a bit high. The restaurant for dinner was very nice, but the fact that breakfast not included in room rate, and $15 for the breakfast buffet, which was very basic, was a bit high. Very pleasant staff in office and restaurant. Would visit again, but most certainly would request lodge or beach house accomodation, as while more pricey, certainly looked more inviting than the Inn.

It was soo peaceful there and the hotel staff were there for our every need....das loved the pool and his pool front room........the food was great though the same ol same of breakfast buffet for three days in a row got a bit boring....
Not that i go to a hotel to watch T.V.............but at night when everyone else was asleep it would have been nice to get more then 8 channels on my T.V set....for the money one pays a few more channels would have been nice......like some movie channels or just anymore then news

Convenient location for our planned activity. Two bedrooms, one of which was a loft.
no heat in main room. Broken. wallpaper falling off. sink rusty. tree branches rubbing on roof disturbed sleep.
